More concerned about “choice” than freedom.
“I pledge allegiance to the flag and my constitutional rights with which it comes. And to the diversity, in which our nation stands, one nation, part of one planet, with liberty, freedom, choice and justice for all,” … is how one little ungrateful punk - obviously unaware (or doesn’t care) of how people far better than herself have sacrificed for this country - bastardized the pledge of allegiance back in 2007.
Emma Martens actually organized a protest against the pledge via the Student Worker Club at Boulder High School. Her parents are no doubt very proud, or perhaps not since they weren’t interviewed in this article. Now she wants the school named after our messianic leader King Obama.
This is a perfect example of how indoctrination in the public school system turns out the guilt-ridden, America-hating, one-worlder types that haven’t a clue how fortunate they are to live in this country. Most of these idiots have never been out of the country to compare it to other turd-world countries or to the socialist utopias in Europe.
Ben (the prez) needs to get out and work for a living.
Most of these suburban socialists; offspring of white, middle-class parents that are too detached and unavailable to raise their kids correctly, have had a real job yet. They most likely work part time as a barrrrristahhh at Starbucks or the local Pizza Hut and feel like they are being exploited and that they are nothing more than a capitalist tool. Where else do they get the inspiration to be members of the “Student Workers Club”? Why is such a commie club let on campus? Don’t give me that crap about diversity when a christian group would most likely NOT be allowed on campus or allowed to pray anywhere on campus.
Funny, I don’t see this Student Worker Club listed on the “Clubs and Activities” page..
At least the principal SEEMS to have a level-headed response to this…
“With all due respect to the president,” the principal added, “of all the things in the world that need to be changed, Boulder High School’s name is probably way down the list.
“Why not go out and get involved in working at the homeless shelter or Habitat for Humanity or a thousand other things in the community that … are really going to make an impact on the world,” Jenkins suggested.
I try to make sense of Ben Raderstof’s response but somehow it doesn’t compute…
“But we also see that names and symbolism are really a lot more important than just a name,” the club president added. “It really will serve to inspire the community, inspire the students and really make much more of a difference than just putting up a new sign.”
God help us - and forgive us, for raising such idiots.
